Job summary

Atria Senior Living, Inc. in Rocklin, CA is hiring for a kitchen/dining assistant to maintain a clean and orderly kitchen and dining area. You will wash, sanitize, and store dishes and equipment, while promoting a restaurant-style dining atmosphere for residents.

You will work closely with the Culinary Services leadership to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service, and participate in special events and daily meal service tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the kitchen and dining areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Wash, clean, sanitize, and store all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment used in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Clean floors, equipment, and other areas as assigned.
• Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
• Work with the Director of Culinary Services or Executive Director to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs.
• Maintain kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times.
• Wash and store all dishes and equipment per policy and procedures.
• Maintain dish room area in a neat, clean, sanitary manner.
• Keep kitchen floors clean (sweeping/mopping) and trash emptied.
• Assist with Art of Atria Dining enhancement programs.
• Maintain dish machine after each meal by cleaning and maintaining sanitizing temperatures and ppm levels.
• Adhere to cleaning schedules as assigned.
• Assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies.
• Assist cooks and wait staff as requested.
• Adhere to Quality Enhancement standards and food safety practices.
• Assist with special events, banquets, and theme meals.
• Attend pre-meal stand up in kitchen prior to meal service.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Salary Range
