Position Summary: Responsible for food preparation in accordance with current applicable state, local, and department standards, guidelines, and regulations, and greeting and attending to guests’ needs in the dining area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All duties are essential job functions. Employees are expected to follow any other job-related instructions and duties requested by their supervisor.   1. Provide excellent guest service to internal and external guests, demonstrating #AddLife culture in all interactions.
  2. Create and foster an environment of support and motivation for team members.
  3. Resolve problems within scope of authority; recommend solutions for issues beyond scope to supervisor.
  4. Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information per company policy and regulations.
  5. Greet guests, process payments via cash, credit, or comps, and ensure standards for order taking are met.
  6. Prepare cash drawer prior to shift, ensuring readiness 10 minutes before start.
  7. Ensure accuracy in billing, give correct change, and issue receipts.
  8. Close register at shift end, count drawer, and complete necessary paperwork.
  9. Return cash to main bank.
  10. Ensure assigned section is ready for service before opening.
  11. Follow quality service standards and use cost control measures.
  12. Work various positions as needed: cooking, cashiering, serving, bussing, dishwashing.
  13. Adhere to customer service and sequence of service standards.
  14. Complete all side work before shift ends.
  15. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
  16. Prepare medium complexity hot and cold foods following recipes and guidelines.
  17. Maintain knowledge of food preparation techniques and equipment operation.
  18. Follow safety and sanitation rules, enforcing standards.
  19. Prepare entrees, vegetables, salads, burgers, and desserts as per recipes.
  20. Coordinate advance preparations based on forecasts and headcounts.
  21. Inspect all food sent from the kitchen for quality and presentation.
  22. Perform food temperature checks daily for safety.
  23. Ensure ingredient quality and proper storage.
  24. Complete preparation records and store food properly after service.
  25. Clean work areas and equipment used in food prep.
  26. Maintain dishwashing area, wash dishes, and clean pots and pans.
  27. Manage trash removal and ensure cleanliness of trash cans.
  28. Report supply needs to F&B Manager.
  29. Put away deliveries upon receipt.
  30. Follow fire and safety procedures.
  31. Practice safe lifting, equipment operation, and knife handling.
  32. Keep supervisor informed of activities.
  33. Perform other duties as assigned.

Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities: Attend training, obtain necessary licenses, perform duties in compliance with laws, and address problem gaming policies. Report wrongdoing.

Position Qualifications: High School diploma or GED, 1-3 years related experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License, Serv-Safe certification.
