Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior kitchen or food prep experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Physical stamina to stand long periods and lift objects.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Attain a valid Food Handlers Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, chopping vegetables, marinating, and following recipes.
• Cook and grill using kitchen equipment to Mia's Table standards.
• Oversee inventory and communicate needs to kitchen manager.
• Set up workstations with ingredients and tools for shift.
• Store and label food properly to prevent waste and cross-contamination.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and utensils.
• Coordinate with chefs and dishwashers to ensure smooth service.
• Adhere to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Inspect items for freshness, taste and appearance; escalate issues.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and store chemicals safely.
