The Kitchen Cook at Cardenas Markets prepares food daily for our customers by following recipes, labeling, and storing baked goods. The role is responsible for preparing and assembling quality food products in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Food Handlers Card.
• Experience in customer service or retail is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other items for cooking.
• Follow recipe specifications and portion food products according to company standards.
• Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions and food safety.
• Takes food orders in person and by telephone.
• Ensure all prepared food items are weighed, labeled, dated, packaged and rotated according to company standards.
• All other duties as assigned.
