Job summary

Cardenas Markets is seeking a Kitchen Clerk to deliver high-quality customer service in a retail store environment. The role models the company values and supports cooks while keeping displays organized and stock levels optimal.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, stocking cases, maintaining cleanliness and safety, assisting with dishes, restocking utensils and drinks, and taking orders in person or by phone. This position requires a valid Food Handler's Card and prior retail experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handler's Card.
• Customer Service and retail experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully-stocked cases.
• Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety.
• Assist cooks with making specific dishes.
• Fill and restock front counter utensils, water sanitizer, vegetables, and drinks.
• Work with professional kitchen equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders.
• Take food orders in person and by telephone.
• All other duties as assigned.
