Job summary

Cardenas Markets is seeking a Kitchen Clerk to deliver friendly, high-quality customer service in our retail store environment. You will model the company values while assisting cooks, stocking displays, and handling food-safety standards.

You will greet customers, answer questions, and help with food orders both in person and by phone, while maintaining clean, well-organized displays and safe work conditions on shift.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Customer Service and retail experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully-stocked cases.
• Maintains standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety.
• Assists the cooks with making specific dishes.
• Fills and re-stocks front counter utensils, water sanitizer, vegetables, and drinks.
• Work with various professional kitchen equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders.
• Takes food orders in person and by telephone.
• All other duties as assigned.
