Job summary

McKeever Price Chopper is seeking dependable Kitchen Cooks to prepare hot and cold entrees, sides, and daily specials in a fast-paced deli/kitchen setting.

You'll follow recipes, keep areas clean, monitor temperatures, and support opening/closing duties as part of a collaborative team. We offer daily pay options, medical benefits for full-time, a 401(k) plan, on-the-job training, and help obtaining a food handler permit.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Food prep experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow recipes, directions, and safety procedures.
• Strong work ethic with a team-oriented attitude.

• Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
• Maintain proper food temperatures and adhere to food safety protocols

• Assist with opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties in the kitchen
• Rotate inventory and monitor expiration dates to minimize waste

McKeever Price Chopper is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Kitchen Cooks. If you enjoy preparing delicious meals, working in a fast-paced environment, and being part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you!

Position Overview:

As a Kitchen Cook, you will be responsible for preparing hot, ready-to-eat food items that meet McKeever's quality and safety standards. You'll work closely with the deli and kitchen team to keep fresh meals available for customers while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare hot and cold food items including entrees, sides, and daily specials
• Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
• Maintain proper food temperatures and adhere to food safety protocols
• Keep prep and cooking areas clean, stocked, and organized

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Prior food prep or kitchen experience preferred but not required
• Ability to follow directions, recipes, and safety procedures
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
• Willing to obtain a food handler permit (McKeever's will assist)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods (4-8 hour shifts)
• Frequent lifting, reaching, and bending (up to 50 lbs)
• Comfortable working around hot surfaces and kitchen equipment
• Repetitive motions such as chopping, mixing, and stirring
