Job summary

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all food service areas and equipment.
• Assist food preparation whenever needed.
• Clean, wash, and store utensils, pots, pans, and related items.
• Clean all kitchen surfaces; maintain clean dishwasher and dishwashing areas.
• Clean out the dish machine after every meal.
• Stock service areas within the kitchen with glassware, silver, china, etc.; empty and scrub garbage containers when necessary.
• Keep the garbage compactor area clean and neat; clean hood areas and screens about cooking areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Be part of the opening team at Hershey Social Restaurant + Bar, downtown Hershey’s newest restaurant and bar. Located near the iconic intersection of Cocoa and Chocolate Avenue, Hershey Social features bold flavors, signature cocktails, and over-the-top desserts inspired by Hershey’s chocolate roots.

Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all food service areas and equipment, including cleaning of food service kitchens, storeroom, and locker areas.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of all food service areas and equipment, including cleaning of food service kitchens, storeroom and locker areas*
• Assisting food preparation whenever needed
• Cleaning, washing, and storing all eating and drinking utensils, pots, pans, and other related items*
• Cleaning all kitchen surfaces (floors, walls, ceiling, etc.); maintaining clean dishwasher and dishwashing areas*
• Cleaning out the dish machine after every meal*
• Stocking all service areas within the kitchen with glassware, silver, china, etc.; emptying and scrubbing garbage containers when necessary
• Keeping the garbage compactor area clean and neat; cleaning hood areas and screens about cooking areas*
• Performing other duties as assigned

Job Demands:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Physical requirements include considerable walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
