Job summary

Cardenas Markets is seeking a Kitchen Cashier who delivers excellent customer service and accurate cash handling in a retail setting. You will model the company values and help create a friendly, efficient shopping experience for guests.

You will take food orders in person and by phone, assist cooks with dishes, restock front counter items, and uphold cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards while working with a collaborative team and caring for our communities.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Customer Service and retail experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Proven track of providing excellent results, shows persistence and perseverance.
• Demonstrates care and compassion for people; shows empathy and concern. Able to build and maintain positive team relationships, relates well to diverse people; is approachable.
• Maintains standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions and food safety.
• Assists the cooks with making specific dishes.
• Fills and re-stocks front counter utensils, water sanitizer, vegetables, and drinks.
• Follows procedures for voids, refunds, transaction cancellation and all saved recall transactions.
• Responsible for personal Cashier Productivity.
• Takes food orders in person and by telephone.
• All other duties as assigned.
