Job summary

The Carmel Mission Inn is seeking a Cook to elevate culinary experiences across all outlets, including the restaurant, café, room service, employee cafeteria, and banquets. You’ll supervise prep, plating, and kitchen workflow to ensure consistency and quality.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a hotel or related field.
• Food Handlers Certification required (state requirements).
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure.
• Strong communicator who listens and conveys ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and supervise food items with precision to meet quality standards.
• Lead and assist kitchen staff to maintain efficient operations.
• Anticipate challenges and resolve issues to keep kitchen running smoothly.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and guests.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation standards.
• Take initiative to anticipate needs and ensure seamless service.
