Job summary

Drury Hotels in Phoenix is seeking team members for kitchen prep and related roles. You will prepare food items according to recipes, maintain a clean prep area, and assist guests while delivering high hospitality standards.

Prospective staff should be able to communicate in English, work with POS systems, and be willing to cross-train as a bartender when needed. The position supports a fast-paced hotel dining environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to take written and verbal directions in English and speak clearly.
• Ability to operate POS software, dishwashers, kitchen equipment, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members; handle difficult situations professionally.
• Ability to cross-train and support as bartender if needed.
• Ability to clean and maintain areas of responsibility.
• Ability to move around bar and kitchen areas efficiently.

Summary: Under general supervision, prepares a variety of food products using kitchen equipment and utensils according to recipe cards to fulfill guest orders following Company policies and procedures. Maintains the food prep area in a clean, well-organized manner while delivering food and assisting guests as needed. Presents a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times to promote the Drury culture with customers and co-workers. Has general knowledge of the hotel, area, and events to answer questions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Requires ability to take written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly.
• Requires ability to operate machines and equipment used, including but not limited to, include POS software, dishwashers, kitchen equipment, etc.
• Requires ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of team members; ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism including bar guests.
• Requires ability to crosstrain & support as bartender if needed.
• Requires ability to clean and maintain areas for which responsible.
• Requires ability to effectively and efficiently move around bar and kitchen area.
