Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare in Hammonton, NJ is seeking a Kitchen Associate to assist with meal preparation, serving, and dishwashing in a patient-centered dining environment.

You will keep kitchens clean, follow food safety standards, restock supplies, and provide friendly service to clients; shift from 6:00am to 2:00pm, with varied hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and serving per policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and dish room.
• Wash and sanitize dishes and equipment; return to storage.
• Restock food, beverages, and supplies for meals.

Summary

The Kitchen Associate assists with meal preparation and serving; cleaning of dishes, utensil, equipment and pots and pans; cleans and organizes the kitchen, work areas, dining room, and serving areas.

Pay

$16 - $17/hr

Shift

Working as needed - 6:00am - 2:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with all dietary functions as directed in accordance with established department policies and procedures.
• Assists with preparing and serving meals following established food safety standards and guidelines.
• Serves meals in accordance with established portion and quality standards.
• Performs daily and/or scheduled cleaning tasks.
• Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils and equipment according to established procedures and return to storage areas.
• Disposes of food and waste in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
• Assists with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of food service work areas, dish room and storage areas.
• Sweeps and mops floors as assigned.
• Restocks food, beverages and supplies for meal service.
• Assists in the receiving, rotating and storage of food and supplies.
• Provides excellent customer service to clients. Reports any issues or problems that may arise to the Dining Services Manager or Supervisor.
• Promptly reports workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses.
• Assists with Cook responsibilities as assigned.
• Completes required trainings and mandatory training hours
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Education & Experience

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Serv-Safe certification or be willing to obtain upon hire.
