Hours:

Part Time – Temporary (12 Weeks), Monday – Friday, 20 hours per week

Salary:

$15.23 per hour

Program Overview:

The Summer Food Service Program provides USDA-funded meals at no cost to children and teens during summer, across Belknap, Merrimack, and Grafton Counties.

Responsibilities:

• Assist cook with meal preparation following provided menus and guidelines.
• Maintain understanding of USDA requirements and sanitary practices.
• Communicate participant counts between camps and kitchen.
• Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
• Transport meals to sites as needed.
• Complete meal count sheets for SFSP sites.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in commercial kitchens or food service.
• Good verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards; ServSafe certification preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with assistance, and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Successful criminal background check.
