Job description

The team at Stoke by Nayland Resort is seeking enthusiastic and passionate people to join the kitchen team. We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant/Porter to work alongside our chefs in a busy commercial kitchen environment. We are looking for individuals to become an essential part of our kitchen team who share our energy and passion to contribute to our ongoing success. Full and part-time hours are available.

Job responsibilities:

• Ensuring the kitchen remains clean and organised, and that all the cooking and service equipment is cleaned in an efficient manner
• Assisting with accepting food and other kitchen-related deliveries
• Supporting chefs with basic food preparation, such as peeling, washing food items etc.
• Keeping the kitchen free of waste, including food waste and packaging
• Supporting chefs and kitchen staff by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Understanding and maintaining excellent health & safety within your work area
