Job summary

Bupa The Highgate Care Home is seeking a Kitchen Assistant (Bank) to support day-to-day kitchen operations at The Highgate location. You will assist chefs, plate meals, and help maintain clean, safe food preparation areas for residents.

This role requires a passion for food, previous kitchen experience, and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You will work with the team to ensure a high-quality dining experience for residents across shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Ability to deliver high-quality meals and maintain cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assisting the chefs to plate meals and prepare food trolleys; keep preparation areas clean.
• Monitor stock rotation and follow COSHH/HACCP guidelines.
• Assist with catering for events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
