Job summary

Honey Lane Care Home is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our Chef in preparing nutritious meals for residents. You will help keep the kitchen clean, safe and organized, while engaging warmly with residents and providing friendly service.

This part-time role covers 12 hours per week, with weekday and alternate weekend shifts. Training is provided, with quoted pay of £12.87 per hour and benefits to support staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

• You’ll need to understand and comply with statutory requirements such as HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH and Environmental Health.
• You will keep the kitchen clean, safe and tidy while on shift and assist with serving meals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef in preparing and cooking nutritious meals for residents.
• Keep the kitchen clean, safe and tidy at all times during shifts.
• Help with serving meals and interact daily with residents.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is safe and report faults promptly.
