Base pay range

$11.80/hr - $11.80/hr

The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for miscellaneous housekeeping duties on the premises as assigned.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Washing dishes, wiping tables, sweeping/mopping dining room floors, taking out garbage after meal service.
• Sweeping/mopping common areas of the premises.
• Disinfecting all doorknobs on the premises.
• Assisting on-site maintenance staff with unit turnover, including cleaning, moving furniture, and removing trash from vacant units.
• Being a role model that recovery is possible by demonstrating recovery and wellness in one's own life.
• Accurate reporting of time and work completed, not to exceed the hours assigned by the Front Desk Supervisor or Team Leader.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Resident staff working in the kitchen must have a current, valid Food Handler’s Permit from the Tulsa City/County Health Department prior to starting work.
• Must observe safety precautions at all times, including wearing protective equipment and using proper lifting techniques.

• Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment, unlikely to be exposed to extreme conditions.
• Moderate noise level typical of residential settings.
• Report environmental hazards encountered during work.
• Flexible work schedule required.
• Effective oral communication skills.

This position involves 20 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 5 hours each day.
