Nazareth is seeking a Kitchen Assistant in our care home to support the catering team with food preparation and cleaning tasks. You will prepare meals and ensure trays meet standard before serving, while contributing to a clean, tidy kitchen environment.
The role requires good teamwork, reliability, and effective time management. Training will be provided, and a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate is desirable; DBS/PVG disclosure is required.
An opportunity has arisen to join our Catering team at our care home as a Kitchen Assistant. The main responsibility of the role is to provide general food preparation and cleaning service for the kitchen.
Duties and Responsibilities:

The ideal person for this role would have previous kitchen experience but this is not desirable and full training will be provided. As a Kitchen Assistant, it is essential you have good communication skills and can work well within a team and individually. The role would suit someone who has the ability to prioritise tasks, has a flexible approach and is energetic and hard working. It is also important that you have good time management, great record keeping and organisational skills.
A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, or you will be willing to undertake the relevant training to gain this qualification.
