French Lick Resort is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to keep the kitchen clean and well‑organized, and to assist leadership with food preparation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Care and cleanliness of kitchen equipment.
• Report irregularities and defects in equipment and machinery to supervisor.
• Ensure the stations are clean and that all food items are properly covered and stored at the end of shift.
• Ensure that banquet functions are properly broken down and reusable items are returned to the main kitchen and put on cafeteria shelf.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Load dishwasher with dirty dishes as needed.
• Make sure that the dishwasher machine is cleaning properly.
• Make sure that the dishes are clean and sanitized as needed.
• Sweep and mop kitchen as needed.
• Clean walls as needed.
• Deliver food and/or equipment to assigned areas to meet operational needs.
• Participates as needed in the preparation and execution of food items for all food venues.
• Must be willing when needed to cook on stations, including food prep.
• Observes cafeteria to ensure proper quality at all times.
• Performs other duties as reasonably requested by Management.
