About You
You will assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Your responsibilities include managing food supplies, ensuring proper fridge/freezer temperatures, training new staff, and maintaining a clean environment—all with Resident well-being as your priority.
We seek a part-time Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience, ideally holding an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willing to obtain one. Strong organizational skills, good record keeping, and the ability to follow recipes are essential. You should communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond appropriately. All staff will attend safeguarding training and undertake related ongoing training, with the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns when necessary.
