The Salvation Army is seeking a Kitchen Aide to support daily meal preparation, service, and cleanup for shelter guests in a on-site facility. You will help with storage, inventory and meal reporting as part of the daily operations.
Under supervision, responsibilities include coordinating volunteers, assisting with ordering and inspections, and maintaining a clean kitchen. Requires a high school diploma and ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
OVERVIEW:
Under the supervision of the Kitchen Supervisor, the Kitchen Aide will assist in food preparation, serving and clean up for daily meals for shelter guests. This includes three meals a day as well as food storage, food inventory and meal reporting for statistics and billing.

Experience with disadvantaged populations, whether through work, volunteering, or being a member of a disadvantaged population.
Experience in nutritional needs of homeless populations.
Trained or receiving training on informal mental health/ substance abuse evaluation.
Have a ServSafe food handling certificate or be able to obtain within first thirty days of employment (company provided)
