Job summary

Monroe Manor, a family-owned assisted living facility in Wisconsin, seeks a kitchen helper to prepare home-style meals for residents. You will follow preplanned menus, help stock supplies, and ensure cleanliness and safety in a busy kitchen.

Shifts include 6-hour evenings and 8-hour mornings with opportunities to take additional hours in housekeeping.Must be 18+; compensation includes competitive pay, a $500 sign-on bonus, and performance-based bonuses based on experience and results.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking meals for a care setting is helpful.
• Ability to follow preplanned menus and maintain kitchen safety.

Responsibilities

• Cook meals according to preplanned menus.
• Set up clean water mugs on cart.
• Prepare and clean meals for service.
• Empty sanitizer and clean kitchen surfaces at shift end.
• Take out garbage at end of shift.
• Wipe down appliances and surfaces.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Ensure supplies are stocked for next day/shift.
• Follow cleaning rotations for fridge/freezer/ovens.

Job duties as follow:

Cooking of meals: Menus preplanned

Set up clean water mugs on cart

Prepare next meals and clean

Empty sanitizer at end of shift

Take out garbage at end of shift

Wipe down appliances, drawer fronts and tabletops

Bake something for snacks and activities as needed

Clean and sanitize carts daily

Pull meat, etc. out of freezer and put in walk in for next 3 days menu

Make sure supplies are available for next day and next shift

Help serve meals

Get kitchen supplies for each dining room as needed

Follow cleaning rotation for freezer/fridge/ovens etc.

6-hour PM shifts, 8-hour AM shifts available with the option to fill other hours in housekeeping daily or in the evening if interested.

Must be 18 years old to apply to kitchen.
