Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Kit Box Parts Advisor in the Steam America organization. You will manage client-facing support across quoting, project execution, and program management, partnering with Sales, Engineering, and Parts Management to deliver accurate, efficient kit boxing solutions.

Responsibilities include defining scope, creating quotes and parts lists, coordinating with the Parts team, and visiting sites to review machinery and inventory.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience in manufacturing or factory environments preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications.
  • ERP systems knowledge (SAP/Oracle) and MRP understanding.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willing to travel 40–50%, mostly domestic; some international travel possible.

Responsibilities

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Kit Box Parts Advisor within the Standard Parts organization for Steam America, you will be responsible for managing the client facing support during the quoting, project execution, and overall program management phases. Your day may include interacting with external clients, client managers, and vendors to come up with customized kit boxing solutions and provide any necessary support needed. You will be partnering with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Line Management, and Parts Management to ensure solutions are accurate, efficient, and aligned with business needs. This role combines proactive sales, customer interaction, and problem solving and is essential to the growth of the overall Steam America business.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for the Kit Box program by defining scope of work, developing quotes, creating parts lists and box layouts, establishing inspection requirements, and coordinating with the Parts team to ensure timely proposal delivery.
  • Build strong customer relationships through site visits, machinery and inventory reviews, and by providing technical guidance on parts lifecycle, material characteristics, manufacturing processes, fleet performance, outage planning, and parts management.
  • Drive Kit Box sales growth by proactively identifying customer needs related to outages, inventory management, reliability, and operational improvements, while communicating the value of maintaining properly designed Kit Boxes onsite.
  • Collaborate with regional client managers, account managers, and sales teams to support customer parts requirements, generate leads, and deliver fleet-specific recommendations and solutions tailored to customer objectives.
  • Enhance customer awareness and market presence by representing the Kit Box program at trade shows, technical conferences, and other industry events, promoting offerings and sharing technical expertise.
  • Provide exceptional customer support and marketing expertise for covered fleets while traveling 40-50% to engage customers, assess operational needs, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
What You Bring
  • Associate degree in a technical field or related field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience working in manufacturing or factory environments, with knowledge of production planning processes. Those with more years of experience may be considered for a more senior level.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, as well as Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated problem solver who continuously seeks efficient and effective ways to achieve business goals.
  • Willing to travel traveling 40-50% to engage customers. Mostly domestic but international travel may be required. Will need to be able travel to Canada with a valid U.S. Passport.
