Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) is hiring a Kinship Navigator Specialist to serve in the Storm Lake and/or Spencer area. The role focuses on assessing family needs, developing Kinship Support Plans, and connecting families with essential services to promote child safety and family well-being.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree in social work or related field with two years of experience, strong communication and computer skills, and flexibility for a varied schedule.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in social work or human services related field plus two years of full-time paid experience in child welfare or human services.
• Excellent communication and computer skills are required.
• Spanish speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to kinship caregivers and children by assessing family needs and developing Kinship Support Plans.
• Connect families with resources to access childcare, medical/mental health services, food/financial assistance, legal aid, support groups, and other services to promote safety and well-being.
