Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Waterloo, IA, is seeking a Kinship Navigator Specialist to provide individualized services honoring the voices of children, parents, kin, and community partners. The role focuses on placement stability, reunification, and child safety, with duties including needs assessments and development of a Kinship Support Plan.

The position requires a Bachelor’s (or Master’s/AA) in social work or related human services field and experience in child welfare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or more in social work or human services with 2+ years of paid experience in child welfare or related field.
• Prior experience with Foster and Adoptive families is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess kinship caregiver needs to identify best support for children in their care.
• Develop Kinship Support Plan with action steps to outcomes.
• Identify affordable childcare and access to medical, dental and mental health services.
• Ensure basic needs (clothing, furniture, food, gas cards) are met.
• Connect kinship caregivers with support groups for communication and emotional support.
• Link to supplemental resources (food assistance, FIP, medical insurance, legal aid).
