Job summary

Seattle University seeks a Laboratory Learning Coordination professional for the Human Performance Lab and Mobile Lab (50%). You will maintain lab policies, ensure safety compliance, and manage equipment like Vicon and EMG for teaching and research, while onboarding student staff and coordinating collaborative projects.

The role also covers program operations, student recruitment, and communications to support department goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Graduate degree in related field preferred.
• Demonstrated administrative and operational support experience.
• Experience in an academic environment preferred.
• Strong collaborative skills and teamwork.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusivity per university values.
• Criminal history background check required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update laboratory operating policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and ethics guidelines for staff, students, and participants.
• Maintain knowledge and QA of lab equipment and tools.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment and computing systems.
• Support instructional/course needs and lab operations.
• Hire, onboard, and supervise student workers for lab duties.
• Organize collaborative research activities among students and faculty.
