Qualifications

• Must have 48 hours of college credit or pass a paraprofessional test.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in small group pupil instruction and tutors pupils as requested.
• Supports teacher in maintaining discipline and other classroom functions.
• Sets up classroom and prepares materials for specialized instructional units.
• Helps with attendance reports and related clerical tasks with staff.
• Assists with displaying materials and keeping displays current.
• Operates standard school equipment such as laminators and copiers.
• Assists in escorting children to and from rooms and follows directions from the teacher.
• Implements IEP objectives under the teacher’s direction and performs other duties as assigned.
