Everman ISD seeks a qualified teacher to provide in-person and distance instruction in the core subject areas. The ideal candidate holds a Texas Generalist/Core Subjects certificate with Bilingual EC-4 or EC-6 endorsements and demonstrated subject area competency, with AED/CPR certifications for PE

Bachelor's degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements - Generalist/Core Subjects plus Bilingual EC-4 or EC-6 required; STR if certified after December 2020
Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
Knowledge of curriculum and instructional best practices for online learning
Strong knowledge of Internet and web-related technology
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to develop relationships and maintain consistent contact with students, parents, and colleagues
Ability to support students with computer set-up, navigation, and technology issues
Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintain a professional working relationship through leading and collaborating with classroom aide(s) regarding their daily schedule and responsibilities.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Personal computer, phone systems, video/instructional equipment, peripherals; PE Teachers use automated external defibrillator (AED)
Prolonged sitting and standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Frequent walking; repetitive computer work with frequent use of hands and wrists
Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move textbooks and classroom equipment
Work inside from school, home, or location other than school building, may work outside; regular exposure to noise and computer monitors
Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours
