Job summary

New Paradigm for Education (NPFE) in Detroit seeks a Kindergarten Teacher to develop and maintain high-quality instruction for all students using our curriculum. Build strong relationships with students and families, identify instructional needs, and apply best practices to improve achievement.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree (K-8; PreK-3) and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate; Kindergarten experience is preferred. A signing bonus may be available for certified teachers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in elementary education (K-8; PreK-3).
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate required or on path to certification.
• Prior Kindergarten teaching experience preferred.
• Must align with NPFE mission and goals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement high-quality elementary instruction using our curriculum.
• Write and execute lesson plans with regular feedback to improve student learning.
• Monitor student progress with up-to-date data to inform instruction.
• Create a safe, respectful, and achievement-focused learning environment.
• Engage families and build strong relationships with students and staff.
• Collaborate with teams to support student success and IEPs where applicable.
