Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC is hiring a Kindergarten Teacher at Lincoln Park Academy in Cleveland, Ohio. You will deliver engaging lessons, differentiate instruction, and monitor student progress, while maintaining records and employing research-based practices to support literacy, math, and SEL.

The role requires an active Ohio teaching license, a relevant bachelor's degree, and a readiness to work in an urban environment.

Qualifications

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
• Experience working within an urban environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in.
• Utilize school approved curricula reflecting diverse backgrounds.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Incorporate technology into daily classroom practice to support learning.
• Participate in planning and implementation of non-instructional activities.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
