Primary Purpose

The Elementary School Teacher is responsible for implementing the District's instructional program and educational philosophy in the designated subject area or grade level, in accordance with District goals, policies, and procedures. The teacher collaborates with other school community members to enhance students' academic performance to meet state standards.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the assigned subject and level
• At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
• Reading Certification for teachers applying to teach K-3 students or currently enrolled

Preferred

• Five years of successful classroom experience
• Reading Certification for teachers applying to teach Pre-K, Grade 4, and Grade 5
