BASIS Leander Primary is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher for an immediate start. The applicant must be eligible to work in Texas Public Schools, possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject, and be able to obtain TEA fingerprint clearance.

Preferred candidates have 3+ years of elementary teaching experience and may hold a Master’s degree. The position includes duties from the BASIS Ed Texas program such as evaluating growth, communicating with families, and implementing IEPs/504

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in Texas Public Schools.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related subject.
• Ability to obtain a valid fingerprint clearance through TEA.
• Preferred: 3+ years of elementary teaching experience.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Education or related subject.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate students’ academic and social growth and prepare progress reports.
• Communicate with parents via email, conferences, and other means.
• Identify student needs and collaborate with subject experts to support learning.
• Provide differentiated instruction and execute IEPs and 504 Plans with fidelity.
• Substitute/duty coverage as needed and supervise students during transitions.
• Occasionally represent BASIS Ed Texas at school events outside hours.

Other Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Evaluating students’ academic and social growth, keeping appropriate records, and preparing progress reports
• Communicating with parents via email, conferences, and other means to discuss student progress
• Identifying student needs and cooperating with the Subject Experts or other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems
• Providing differentiated instruction and executing IEP’s and 504 Plans with fidelity
• Substitute/duty coverage as needed
• Supervise students during classroom transitions throughout the day
• Occasionally represent BASIS Ed Texas at designated school wide community events outside of typical school hours

Position Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Eligible to work in Texas Public Schools.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education or related subject.
  • Ability to obtain a valid fingerprint clearance through TEA.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an elementary educator.
  • Master’s degree in Education or related subject.
