How You Will Impact Education

Instruction/Education Responsibilities

• Plan and implement instruction following company philosophy, goals, and curriculum standards.
• Create purposeful and effective lesson plans with engaging teaching strategies.
• Present subject matter to maximize learning, incorporating real-world examples.
• Review student records to understand abilities and needs; maintain accurate records.
• Maximize each student's educational achievement using varied learning modalities and differentiation.
• Use diagnostic assessments regularly to monitor progress.
• Assess student strengths and weaknesses, provide appropriate activities, and generate progress reports.
• Refer students with learning problems to support personnel.
• Assign lessons, correct student work, and review oral presentations.
• Coordinate class field trips as needed.
• Prepare students for state assessments.
• Stay current in subject matter and learning theory, sharing knowledge for curriculum improvement.
• Assist in curriculum revision and selection of instructional materials.
• Identify supplemental services beneficial to students.

Provide a Classroom Environment Conducive to Learning

• Create a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
• Build positive rapport with students, demonstrating patience and nurturing.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom with student work on display.
• Implement policies on student conduct and classroom rules fairly and consistently.

Instructional Planning

• Develop lesson plans aligned with guidelines and goals.
• Design individual and group activities to meet objectives and student needs.
• Prepare for classes thoroughly and participate in curriculum planning.
• Incorporate diagnostic data, including IEP requirements, into planning.

School/Community Relations

• Establish cooperative relations and communicate with parents appropriately.
• Maintain positive communication with parents via various mediums.
• Collaborate with administration and staff, maintaining confidentiality.
• Participate in parent activities and extracurriculars to promote a positive school culture.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.
• Valid teaching certification, if applicable.
• 1-3 years of successful teaching experience or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of grades/subject content and learning theories.
• Commitment to company values and ethical standards.
• Successful background check.
• Effective instructional and communication skills.
• Ability to adhere to the Code of Ethics for the Education Profession.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Typical office conditions; no significant physical exertion required. Light physical work may include exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, with travel as needed. The position is exempt from overtime under FLSA.
