Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Kindergarten Prep Teacher at the Hall Boulevard Center in Bloomfield, CT. You will guide a teaching team, plan activities for 4- and 5-year-olds, and engage families to share daily milestones in a safe classroom.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CDA or college coursework in early education, and is preferred for candidates with an associate or bachelor's degree and 1 year of teaching experience. We offer growth support and benefits.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required.
• College-level early education coursework or CDA is required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in early education or related field is preferred.
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) is required.

Responsibilities

• Guide a teaching team to create plans and lead hands-on activities for 4- to 5-year-olds.
• Maintain open communication with parents about daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
• Fulfill mandated reporter requirements and inform the director of any suspected cases.
