Job summary

Bright Horizons at NYU Langone is seeking a Lead Educator to guide a Kindergarten Prep program and mentor fellow teachers in creating engaging curricula aligned with anti-bias education. You will partner with families to support children’s growth and ensure high-quality classroom implementation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with substantial coursework toward a bachelor’s in early childhood education and may prefer NYS teaching certification.

Qualifications

• Must pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
• At least 90 credits toward bachelor’s degree in early childhood education is required
• NYS Teaching Certification (B-2, N-6, 1-6, Special Education) or study plan eligibility is preferred
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
• Flu Vaccine by October 15th is required

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in implementing high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with our philosophy and anti-bias education
• Be a curriculum expert and use educational quality tools to assess and enhance program implementation
• Partner and communicate effectively with families, while mentoring new teachers and serving as a role model for the teaching team
