Job summary

The LCSC is seeking a Kindergarten Paraprofessional to support the classroom teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for kindergarten students. You will reinforce foundational literacy and math skills, assist with instructional activities, and provide small-group support to meet diverse student needs.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have 60 college credit hours or a Para Pro Certificate.
• Must complete and clear a drug screen and expanded criminal history background check for school personnel per IN state law.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with daily instructional activities (reading, phonics, writing, math).
• Provide individual and small-group support to reinforce skills and reteach concepts.
• Support student independence and classroom routines.
• Reinforce positive behavior and social-emotional learning.
• Assist with preparing instructional materials and organizing classroom resources.
• Supervise students during activities, transitions, and arrivals/dismissals.
• Communicate observations to the teacher and staff.
