Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college credits; or Passed the Para Pro test.
• Experience working with children; in an educational setting preferred.
• Experience with and/or the ability to become CPI trained if necessary.
• Experience working with children with Special Education services preferred.
• Passion to work with school aged children.

Responsibilities

• Support students under the guidance of teachers and school staff, including IEP goals and objectives.
• Assist students across content areas in individual, small group, and whole group settings.
• Support students with self-regulation, behavior plans, and classroom management.
• Provide sensory supports and use assistive technology for communication.
• Assist with transitions, social, emotional and behavioral skill development.
• Review IEPs as needed to ensure student needs are understood.
• Provide personal care assistance as needed including toileting and feeding.
• Other duties to support students as directed by administration.
