Job summary

Bond Health Staffing is seeking a Lead Teacher for a kindergarten classroom serving children ages 3-4 at a Bronx early childhood program. The Lead Teacher will provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment; design and implement curriculum; and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• NYS Teaching Certification (Birth-2nd Grade) or a Bachelor's/Master's in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• May qualify without NYS certification if degree suffices.
• Must meet DOH/DOE requirements and any mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Interact with children in developmentally appropriate ways at their level.
• Observe, assess, and support learning with language, toys, and activities.
• Model positive social behavior and use positive discipline.
• Implement curriculum based on observations and assessments.
• Document development through anecdotal notes and portfolios.
• Communicate with families while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain health and safety, attendance, and required paperwork.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
