Job description

Beginning August 2025

Hillel Torah North Suburban Day School, located in Skokie, Illinois, is seeking a warm, energetic, and passionate Kindergarten Lead Teacher to join our Early Childhood team for the 2025-2026 school year. Our lead teacher in the kindergarten classroom is responsible for planning and leading instruction in all areas, including reading, writing, phonics, handwriting, and mathematics. Lead teachers work closely with their assistant teachers and are committed to providing a nurturing and developmentally appropriate classroom experience.

The ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, develops engaging lessons, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and is dedicated to the whole child.

Qualifications
  1. Degree in education (Bachelors or higher).
  2. Illinois State Teaching License required.
  3. Experience teaching in early childhood.
  4. Knowledge and background with Judaic curriculum preferred.
  5. Fluency in Hebrew preferred.
