Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or two years of college OR HS diploma/GED with Paraprofessional Certification.
• Valid Paraprofessional Certificate.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual or small groups to provide intervention or enrichment activities.
• Assist teacher with reinforcing material and strategies based on student needs.
• Assist with behavioral strategies for individual students.
• Supervise students.
• Alert teacher to problems or important information about students.
• Serve as information source for substitutes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Review student responses on assignments without recording grades.
• Assist with clerical tasks and material preparation for instruction.
• Assist with ordering and inventory of classroom supplies.
• Participate in training and maintain confidentiality of school information.
• Attend meetings and uphold paraprofessional license as required.
