Qualifications

• Connectic ut Elementary Certification required (013 or 305).
• Bachelor's Degree in Education; a Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in diverse urban school settings encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-based instruction in core subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies.
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom culture and promote learning for all students.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including English learners and students with IEPs/504s.
• Utilize formative and summative data to inform teaching and track progress.
• Establish routines and procedures to maintain a safe, orderly classroom.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff to plan instruction.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and activities.
• Participate in school teams, PD, and data-driven planning.
• Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Support social-emotional development with positive behavior strategies.
• Maintain accurate student records and complete required reports.
