Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assists the teacher with diagnostic tests when needed.
• Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assists the teacher in devising strategies for reinforcing material based on individual needs.
• Guides independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work.
• Checks notebooks, corrects papers, and supervises testing and makeup work.
• Assists with group activities such as drill work, reading aloud, and storytelling.
• Serves as the chief information source for substitutes.
