Job summary

The aide will help with small group instruction, classroom management, and daily routines such as snack, recess, and bathroom duties, while maintaining records as required.

Qualifications

• Must meet requirements for a paraprofessional, including 60 college credit hours or an Associate's Degree or Paraprofessional certificate (minimum score of 456 on the exam).
• Demonstrate aptitude for working with young children and ability to support the instructional program.
• Alternative qualifications may be considered by administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing classroom activities under supervision.
• Assist with individual and small group instruction.
• Create a developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Assist with non-instructional duties such as snack, recess, lunch and bathroom duties.
• Maintain records as required by district/state.
