Hall County Schools in Gainesville, GA seeks a Paraprofessional to assist certified staff and students in classrooms. Responsibilities include reinforcing core subjects, supporting assessments, managing materials, and helping with behavior and safety. Travel between schools may be required, with duties across instructional and non-instructional areas.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and basic computer skills (Word, Excel). No Child Left Behind coursework experience is desirable.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and perform arithmetic operations as needed to assist students.
• Ability to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications (e.g., Word, Excel).

Responsabilidades

• Reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction and other skills.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in administration and correction of classroom exercises, tests and assessments.
• Assist in classroom preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials and skills.
• Assist with record-keeping procedures documenting student learning and performance.
• Assist with classroom behavioral management to maintain a safe, orderly environment.
• Supervise students in non-instructional areas (lunch, bus, playground, study hall, etc.).
• Accompany students on field trips for supervision.
• Prepare and distribute educational materials as needed.
• Assist with parent contact to foster involvement.
• Support students with special needs in all aspects of instruction to maximize inclusion and achievement.
