Job summary

The Muscogee County School District is seeking a Kindergarten Paraprofessional to support classroom instruction and student activities under a licensed teacher's direction in a kindergarten setting.

The position carries a 190-day work calendar with a pay rate of $16.91 per hour, and the work location is To Be Announced. The incumbent reports to the Principal and plays a key role in instructional support and student progress tracking.

Qualifications

• Educational level: 60 semester hours or 100 quarter hours or GACE required.
• Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate required.
• No prior experience required.
• Must meet physical requirements and knowledge/abilities listed.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Conducts small group or individual classroom activities based on lesson plans developed by the teacher.
• Assists with supervision of students.
• Assists with student assessment, grading work and test and collecting data on student progress.
• Assists with routine record keeping.
• Assists with the preparation of materials for instruction.
• Locates, operates, and returns equipment required for classroom activities.
• Assists with classroom housekeeping.
• Assists in the ordering and inventory of classroom equipment and materials.
• Assists with school-wide supervision, such as loading/unloading buses.
• Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
