Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in school or childcare preferred.
• Ability to follow teacher direction and collaborate as part of a team.
• Warm, patient, child-centered approach.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise and manage groups of young children safely.
• Basic computer literacy (email, simple classroom platforms).
• Completion of required background checks and clearances.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with daily classroom activities, lessons, and learning centers.
• Provide individualized and small-group support to students.
• Help maintain a positive, structured, and faith-filled classroom environment.
• Supervise students during recess, lunch, transitions, and dismissal.
• Prepare instructional materials, organize supplies, and support classroom routines.
• Support social-emotional learning through gentle guidance and positive reinforcement.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, and families.
• Uphold school policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards.
• Assist with classroom cleanliness, organization, and setup.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school events as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
