Job summary

Primrose School of Florham Park is seeking a Kindergarten Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher and nurture young children in a structured, caring environment. You’ll help deliver the Balanced Learning curriculum via our digital platform and build strong relationships with families as you support early education goals.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with hourly pay ranging from $18.00 to $24.00, depending on education level.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for nurturing and educating young children.
• Degree or CDA in early childhood education and preschool settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment for kindergarten children.
• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that are created for you.
• Implement positive behavioral guidance strategies and ensure a safe learning space.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive community.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Support individual learning needs and encourage social and emotional growth.
