Job description

Hillel Torah North Suburban Day School, located in Skokie, IL, is seeking a warm, energetic, and passionate Kindergarten Assistant Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a full-time position beginning August 2025.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus a passion for helping children learn and grow and a collaborative approach when working with co-teachers to create a positive and supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with children ages 5-7 yrs old.
• Knowledge and background with Judaic curriculum, including but not limited to Parsha and chagim.
• Ability to actively engage with children.
• Commitment to providing a nurturing and developmentally appropriate classroom experience.
• Willingness to care for and support each child throughout the day, including but not limited to: in the classroom, on the playground, in the gym, and during lunch.
