The Skokie Park District has an immediate opening for a year-round, part-time teacher.The Tot Learning Center is a DCFS licensed, NAEYC accredited childcare program that provides full-day, year-round childcare for infants and children aged six weeks to 5 years of age.

Must have a strong interest in working with children. Adheres to and actively enforces the safety responsibilities and safety procedures as outlined in the District's Safety Manual and overall risk management program.
Hours:
This is a part-time job for about 25-29 hours/week. Monday-Friday working with toddlers. Hours available from 7:30am-12:30pm & 1:00pm-6:00pm
** This job fall in paygrade PT4. The target hiring range for this position is beginning at $16 - $18.00 depending on qualifications.
Must be an adult, at least 18 years of age. Prefer at least 1 year experience as a childcare worker at a DCFS licensed facility.Childcare experience at a NAEYC accredited facility is preferred but not required.Must have at least 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with at least six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to childcare and/or child development from birth to age six. Prefer an individual that has an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related field. Must be able to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment physical and drug test. The individual we seek must possess excellent leadership, organizational, presentation and communication skills.
