Job summary

Saint Cloud School District 742 is hiring paraeducators for 10-month, school-year positions. You will provide targeted classroom support to Kindergarten classes and dedicate part of your day to family engagement and wraparound student support.

The role includes multilingual outreach (English, Spanish, Somali) and collaboration with our FSCS Coordinator to monitor attendance and connect families with resources.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English required by state statute.
• Similar job related experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish or Somali preferred.

Responsibilities

• Targeted Classroom Support under Kindergarten teacher guidance.
• Support family engagement and wraparound services, including Read With Me and Math With Me initiatives, and multilingual outreach (English, Spanish, Somali).

TYPE OF POSITION:

• Hourly
• 7:15 AM - 2:15 PM
• Occasional days, approximately 1-2 times per month, will require variable schedules to accommodate parent and after-school events
• 10-month, school year position

Building Principals, immediate supervisor

SALARY:

$19/hr

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• High School or GED Diploma
• Proficiency in the English language is required, in accordance with Minnesota state statute.

Position Summary:

• Targeted Classroom Support (Not 1:1 Shadowing): These paraeducators will support each classroom with academic and social/emotional needs under the direction of the Kindergarten teacher.
• Dedicated Family Engagement & Student Support: A portion of their daily schedule is specifically set aside to foster family partnerships and provide wraparound support. This includes supporting our Read With Me, Math With Me home initiative, hosting "Parent and Child Together" events, facilitating multilingual outreach (English, Spanish, Somali), and collaborating with our FSCS Coordinator to monitor attendance and connect families with essential community resources.

PHYSICAL FACTORS:

• The ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time; may be exposed to adverse weather
• Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, and seeing
• Light Work: exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
